Dr. Uma: Dr. Uma V. Manjappara has a PhD from the Indian Institute of Science under the guideship of Prof. P Balaram in the Molecular Biophysics Unit. Post PhD, she worked at the Scripps Research Institute, San Diego, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia followed by Drexel University College of medicine, Philadelphia for her post doctoral studies. She joined the CFTRI, Mysore in 2005 as a Scientist Fellow and currently she is a Principal Scientist at the CFTRI. Her expertise is in the field of peptide chemistry. She has trained several PhD, MSC and INSA summer research fellows in their research projects. She is also an active member in the Jigyasa program at CFTRI and now a member of our ethics committee.
