Research Associate
Vagdevi is a Research Associate at Prayoga, specializing in phytochemistry, microbiology, and plant-based medicine. With a strong passion for research, she began her academic journey by enrolling in a Bachelor's program in Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology at Sri JCBM College in Sringeri, affiliated with Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta. In parallel, she completed an add-on diploma course in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, further enriching her knowledge. Vagdevi then pursued a Master of Science in Botany from the University of Mysore, Manasagangotri, Mysuru. She has cleared the K-SET (Life Sciences) in 2019 and the GATE (Life Sciences, Ecology, and Evolution) in 2023. Her Bachelor's projects include a study on the diversity of odonates in Sringeri and Theerthahalli Taluk, published in the IOSR Journal for Environmental Science, Toxicology, and Food Technology, and an analysis of vegetation dynamics in Kudremukh National Park. Her Master's project focused on the preliminary phytochemical screening and antibacterial potential of Rubus kasthuriae and the green synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles. In addition to her research work, Vagdevi has also gained experience in academic writing at a private publication support company.
