
Refund and Cancellation Policy for Donations
This Refund and Cancellation Policy explain the terms under which donations made to Prayoga can be cancelled or refunded. By donating, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. General Policy
Donations made to Prayoga are voluntary contributions intended to support our programs, projects, and operations. As donations are used to fund ongoing charitable and developmental work, all donations are generally considered final and non-refundable, except under the specific circumstances described in this policy.
2. Eligibility for Refund
A refund may be considered only in the following situations:
1. Duplicate Transaction — The same donation amount was charged more than once due to a technical or payment gateway error.
2. Erroneous Transaction — An incorrect amount was charged due to a technical glitch.
3. Unauthorized Transaction — The donation was made without the donor's authorization (e.g., due to a compromised payment method), supported by valid proof.
4. Failed but Debited Transaction — The payment was debited from the donor's account/card, but the transaction was not confirmed or reflected as successful on Prayoga's records.
3. Refund Request Timeline
· Refund requests must be submitted within 5 business days of the date of the donation transaction.
· Requests received after this period will not be eligible for a refund, except at the sole discretion of Prayoga in exceptional circumstances.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, donors must:
1. Email [insert contact email] and contact [contact number] with the subject line "Donation Refund Request."
2. Provide the following details:
a. Full name of the donor
b. Registered email address / phone number used for the donation
c. Date and amount of the transaction
d. Transaction ID / payment reference number
e. Reason for the refund request
f. Screenshot or proof of payment (if available)
Prayoga will acknowledge the request within 3–5 business days and may seek additional information to verify the claim.
5. Refund Processing
· Approved refunds will be processed within 10–15 business days from the date of approval.
· Refunds will be issued to the original mode of payment used for the donation (e.g., original bank account, card, or UPI ID). Prayoga does not process refunds to a different account or payment method.
· Any transaction, processing, or gateway fees deducted at the time of donation are non-refundable and will be excluded from the refunded amount, unless the error was solely due to Prayoga's system.
6. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:
· Change of mind after a successful and intended donation.
· Donations made in support of a specific campaign, program, or cause that has already commenced or been allocated.
· Donations for which a tax-exemption receipt (e.g., under Section 80G, where applicable) has already been issued and claimed.
· Recurring/monthly donations, once processed for that billing cycle (see Section 7 for cancellation of future payments).
· Donations made in kind (goods, materials, or services).
7. Tax Receipts and Refunds
If a donation is refunded, any tax-exemption certificate or receipt (e.g., 80G receipt) issued for that donation will be cancelled/revoked, and the donor will not be entitled to claim tax benefits on the refunded amount.
8. Prayoga's Discretion
Prayoga reserves the right to:
· Approve or deny any refund request based on the merits of the case.
· Modify this policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this page.
